Our journey this year was marked by invaluable connections made at prominent trade exhibitions, including Transport Logistics in Munich (May 2023) and Multimodal in Birmingham (June 2023). These events provided us with unique opportunities to engage with both new and familiar faces in the industry, fostering collaborations that will undoubtedly shape our future endeavours.
In addition to these exhibitions, we actively participated in conferences organised by Women in Business, reaffirming our commitment to diversity and inclusion within our sector. Moreover, our team embarked on insightful visits to our ferry providers, gaining firsthand experience of the intricate operations and witnessing the launch of new ships.
A Heartfelt Commitment to Community: Internal Events
At Derry Bros Shipping, we believe in giving back to the community that has supported us. In August 2023, our team enjoyed Sponge Day, a lighthearted yet impactful event that saw Colin (Operations Director) and Matt (Customs Manager) graciously volunteering as targets for a good cause. Funds raised during this spirited office activity were directed towards supporting Women's Aid Armagh Down.
Later in the year, our team donned festive attire for Christmas Jumper Day in December 2023, raising funds in support of the Southern Area Hospice. These initiatives reflect our dedication to making a positive impact beyond the boundaries of our business.
